大抵の漢方医やツムラは表立ってそう主張することがないが、漢方医学の利点はよくある胃腸薬*1と同様、概ね安全性が確立した「安価な」プラセボ使用法の体系として臨床現場に根付いたという点にあると思う。事業仕分けの仕分け人に選ばれるような人達は、病人がプラセボを求めるという弱さを意識的、非意識的に無視したり、排除できる人達だからこそ選ばれているのかもしれない。だから、患者が困る(弱さへの共感)ではダメで、プラセボは安い(医療経済的メリット)という方向で主張すべきではないかと思う。

おおー。漢方薬ってプラセボに過ぎないんじゃないかってのは前々から思っていたことなんだが、臨床の現場にもそういう認識ってあるんだな。でもプラセボだってことが患者に知れ渡るとプラセボの効き目がなくなるので、表立ってそういうこと言えないと。なるほぞ。そういう話なら納得行く。
