今回の調査結果について、在日インド大使館のダルシム・アッサラーム主席外交官は「そもそもインド人はカレーを好きで食べていたのではなく、カレーしかなかったから仕方なく食べていただけ。近頃のインド人はカレーなど辛くて食べない。だからうどんでも何でもカレーを入れて辛くしたがる日本人が不思議で仕方ない。」とのコメントを寄せた。
